BLU MAMUTH – Hunter

Experimental Industrial duo BLU MAMUTH sign to Octopus Rising; First Single and Video Out Now!

Blu Mamuth is an experimental industrial project, strongly bound to primitives and tribal sound and words, often completely made up, just like in a New Language. It’s born from an idea of V. e Z., already companions in a long sound collaboration together in Zirkus der Zeit, an avant prog-project, lasting nine years. Hence the need to change everything. To start from zero, just using electronic instruments, keyboards, sampler, computer and voice effects, creating a more emotional sound, between tribal hypnosis and industrial noises. There’s a big attention to every single noise, and a big cure in the post production phase to permit a lot of different sensations in which one can get lost and find oneself.

A kind of travel in sonic tales. The sense of the project is in fact to remove our own social masks, and return to an animal, deeper way of being and feeling. Blu Mamuth says: “The collaboration with Octopus Rising / Argonauta started on the advice of a band of friends (Temple of Deimos) that already signed with them; after a show we had in a club, their founder told us to send our music to the label. We met and we found immediately a common ideal sense to mean music, and we enjoyed starting this first voyage together”. Watch out for the peculiar sound of Blu Mamuth, highly recommended if you like: Fever Ray, Zola Jesus, Lamb, Trentemøller and Anna von Hausswolff. More details will be revealed soon.
