The Open Track of the record, a choice absolutely not taken casually.. Here you can feel the glam influences that linger in the band: Thin Lizzy, Slade, New York Dolls and Cheap Trick are always a guarantee as well as a starting point, and the result can only be more than satisfactory. “Don’t Talk About Love” is a perfect example of this. Rovaz’s initial drum roll suggests a predictable, simple piece, with packed amps and typical vocalizations of some “lead singer” straight out of an 1980’s L.A. district, but that’s not the case.
What you discover is instead a sincere, soft, apparently simple song, with parts at the same time soft and decisive, where the voice – almost spoken or sometimes whispered – is there to guide you and warn you about one of the largest and most immense puzzles of the universe: love. This third single represents the opening of the album Heavier Than A Stone, almost as if to “welcome” the listener by encompassing all the aspects that have influenced the members of the Hornets, facets that only the most experienced will be able to grasp. How many do you find?
