LACASTA – Harrowing Silence 

Italian blackened crust force laCasta return with “Olibanvm”, their most focused and oppressive work to date. Blending Crust Hardcore urgency with the austerity of Black Metal, the album delivers a suffocating and ritualistic sonic assault built on saturated riffs, hammering rhythms and dissonant atmospheres.

Conceptually, “Olibanvm” revolves around the true incense, a substance embodying a powerful symbolic triad: ancient as Egypt, red as blood, precious as gold. Extracted through deliberate wounds inflicted on the Boswellia sacra using the Manqaf blade, it represents a ritual of suffering transformed into transcendence. From ancient pagan rites to modern funeral ceremonies, its smoke symbolizes the passage between the earthly and the divine.

Formed in 2013 in Puglia, Italy, laCasta have carved a distinct identity within the extreme underground through a violent fusion of dark Hardcore and Black Metal. Following their debut “Encyclia” and the acclaimed “In Æternvm” released via Argonauta Records, the band now pushes further into darker and more suffocating territories.
