Evocative, archaic sound from the Mediterranean

PELAGIE is an audiovisual work unfolding across the Pelagie archipelago as a sequence of resonant bodies.

Filmed entirely inside the PortoM sea cave in Lampedusa, the project brings into relation archaic musical instruments, natural space, and human presence.

Rather than documenting places, PELAGIE activates them as listening devices, where sound precedes narration and resists representation.

The cave becomes a resonant body—an acoustic threshold in which the gesture of sound opens a suspended, non-linear experience.
