NIBIRU – Hypostasis

Ritualistic Black Voyagers NIBIRU have completed their new and long awaited album H Y P Ó S T A S I S.

This release marks ten years of unwavering alliance between the band and the label, a path that continues to evolve through sound, vision and spiritual exploration. H Y P Ó S T A S I S will be released on February 27th 2026 in CD and Digital formats.

Formed in 2012, NIBIRU emerged from a relentless process of spiritual and emotional inquiry involving every member of the band. Their creative approach is impetuous, immersive and deeply ritualistic. Lyrics intertwine Enochian elements with the Italian language, while the sound draws from post punk, darkwave, ambient, black metal and occult doom. Their essence can be defined as Ritualistic Occult Black Doom.

Across seven full length albums and one EP, NIBIRU have forged a distinctive and influential presence. Their discography includes Caosgon and Netrayoni, originally self released and later reissued by Argonauta Records, followed by Padmalotus and Qaal Babalon with Argonauta Records, Salbrox with Ritual Production, and the more recent Panspermia, Anamorphosis and the Teloch EP with Argonauta Records.

The band has shared the stage with Oranssi Pazuzu, Uada, Nightstalker, Mortuary Drape and Mortiis. Highlights include an eighty minute ritual at Roadburn Festival 2016, European and UK tours including a Metal Hammer UK reviewed show at The Black Heart in London, Metalitalia Festival 2018, Church of Crow Doom Festival with Ahab in 2023, and headlining From Dust Till Doom Festival in Zurich the same year.

Beyond live performances, NIBIRU have contributed to Terror Tales: A Tribute to Death SS released by Black Widow Records and Fiabe Bandite vol.1. The band appears in Stefano Cerati’s book I cento migliori dischi Stoner Heavy Psych, Eduardo Vitolo’s Children of Doom and Corrado De Sio’s documentary Road to Roadburn.

Their visual output is equally impactful. The videos for Nanta, Efflatus and Exarp from Salbrox continue to define the band’s audiovisual identity.

H Y P Ó S T A S I S is a new chapter, a visceral embodiment of NIBIRU’s ongoing exploration of inner awareness, corruptible and malignant. A work that expands their ritualistic vision and reinforces their unmistakable artistic identity.

NIBIRU is currently Ardat following the departure of L C Chertan in 2024 and Ri in April 2025. Both roles have been replaced, with official announcements coming soon.
