MANOS LOUTAS – Seven to Six
“Seven to Six” is a new composition by the Greek double bassist Manos Loutas. It is inspired by Greek rhythms in odd time signatures, set in a blues form with a jazz approach. The tune is built with a bass line in 7/4 followed by the original melody of Loutas. It moves into 6/4 for the improvisations and then comes back to seven.
The quartet is completed by Stergios Polyzos on tenor saxophone, Pantelis Benetatos on piano and Yorgos Maniatis on drums.
