MUTO – Nucleo
Italian composer and guitarist Davide Martiello unveils “Nucleo,” the new single and accompanying video from MUTO, an audiovisual project where instrumental music becomes a language beyond words.
With “Nucleo” MUTO enters a new chapter exploring life, transformation, suffering and the unity of all things. The single is accompanied by a visually powerful video by Armenia Panfolklorica, combining mythology, sculpture, landscape and the human body.
Continuing the visual language of the project, leaves transform into butterflies evoking the Greek psyche, meaning both “soul” and “butterfly.” The stone on the cover explodes, while a hidden vase releases a mysterious figure who supports the great nucleus: a symbol of the fundamental unity behind all things.
The video imagines a genesis in a test tube, an alchemical birth emerging from suffering. Primordial life appears as fragile, almost absurdly defenseless, yet full of potential. Water, membranes and organic forms suggest a process in which matter slowly becomes essence. Lunar and solar imagery recalls the myth of Phaeton and his attempt to seize the sun’s chariot, reflecting themes of affirmation, diversification, division and challenge.
